Half-Baked @ BoCo

So what is our Half-Baked idea?

Its not raw, its not cooked, its half baked! Try it out, we supply par-baked pizza bases with all the quality ingredients you love from BoCo for you to take it to the next level. We know most of you cant wood fire at home so we thought we could start you off so that you could try your hand at creating the next best thing to an actual BoCo pizza. We know you have it in you, we miss you and we want you to show us what you can do, enjoy and please tag us @bocodublin.


For now we are delivering within a 10 km radius of BoCo, Dublin 1, (see map here) we are hoping to go nationwide soon.

Before you begin we just want to let you know a couple of things about your kit....

We make them fresh in BoCo the day of delivery so it should last for 2 days in your fridge before use. We supply all you need to make your pizzas in the ingredients box provided, feel free to use them to suit your taste. Everything is compostable except for the sticker so you can chuck it in your brown bin when done.

Lets go...

Turn your oven up to its highest temperature and also place a small shallow tray of hot water at the base of the oven if you can because steam makes your pizza crust extra crispy!

- Take the pizza bases out of the box keeping them on the sheet of greaseproof paper provided

- Follow the specific pizza building instructions below by your pizza number (#) - this is just a guide so feel free to be creative

- Once you have topped your pizza as per instructions below, keep the pizza on the greaseproof paper and place it in the top part of your oven

- Pizza should be ready in 6 - 10 minutes depending on your oven. Take it out when its done to your liking and place on your best chopping board

- Before finishing with toppings cut your pizza unless of course you are a knife and forker

- Finish off your pizza with the finishing ingredients provided referred to below ..........then again its your pizza so feel free to do as you wish

- Cut into slices, raise to mouth ...........

Pizza building instructions

Pizza #1

Crushed tomato sauce, toons bridge fior di latte, basil, extra virgin olive oil

- This is a classic margarita but there are different preferences as to how its cooked.

- Put on crushed tomato sauce and fior di latte.

- We like to bed the basil into the sauce and then cook it so that the flavour of basil infuses throughout the pizza, you can do this or put it on after or both.

- Cook the pizza and then pour olive oil on after its cooked.

Pizza #2

Crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni 

- Put as much pepperoni on your pizza as you like, this one’s a no brainer!

Pizza #4

Crushed tomato sauce, macroom buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, artichoke, parmesan, rocket, garlic and rosemary oil 

- This one’s a bit tricky but we know you’ve got this!  Put a little bit more tomato sauce on as there’s no fior di latte and it will help stop the pizza from drying out.

- Next sprinkle on the artichoke and a little of the garlic & rosemary oil provided.

- Put the pizza into the oven, when it’s cooked to your liking take it out and cut it.

- Next top the pizza with the rest of the toppings in this order …  first is rocket, bunch as much as you like in the centre of the pizza, next tear up the macroom buffalo mozzarella and spread all over, then take the prosciutto and lay it over the rocket.

- Finally sprinkle parmesan & drizzle with the remaining oil. Voila!

Pizza #6

Crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami ventricina, salami nduja, salami picante, salami stoffelotto

- Throw it all on and bung in the oven!

Pizza #7

Crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, smoked provolone, black pudding, rocket, shaved apple, walnuts, highbank orchard syrup

- After adding the tomato sauce and fior di latte, place the black pudding and smoked provolone evenly over the pizza.

- Put it in the oven and take it out when cooked to your liking.

- Cut it and then add the rocket & grated apple, sprinkle with walnuts and finish off with a drizzle of the Highbank Orchard Syrup.

Pizza #8

Crushed tomato sauce, toons bridge fior di latte, parmesan, basil, fresh chilli, extra virgin olive oil

- Same as #1 except you add fresh chilli & parmesan before baking and more parmesan after.

Pizza #9

Crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, cashel blue cheese, mushroom, walnuts, rocket

- After adding the tomato sauce and fior di latte place the mushrooms around the fior di latte and then crumble on the cashel blue cheese.

- Place in the oven and when it’s done to your liking take it out.

- Cut, add the rocket & break the walnuts over the top.

Pizza #10

Crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, fennel sausage, red onion, fresh chilli

- After adding the tomato sauce & fior di latte, place the ricotta, fennel sausage & red onion evenly over the base.

- Then top with fresh chilli either before or after baking, your choice!

Pizza #11

Crushed tomato sauce, cashew cream, aubergine, courgette, baby leaf spinach, sun-dried tomato pesto 

- This is a vegan so no fior di latte.

- After adding the crushed tomato sauce, place aubergine & courgette evenly over the base then blob on the cashew cream.

- Place in oven and when it’s done to your liking take it out and cut it.

- Top with baby leaf spinach and sun-dried tomato pesto.

Pizza #12

Crushed tomato sauce, toons bridge fior di latte), nduja, roasted peppers, fresh chilli, pecorino

- After adding the tomato sauce & fior di latte, place the nduja, roasted peppers, fresh chilli evenly over the base.

- Put it in the oven and when it’s done to your liking finish it off with plenty of pecorino.
